Dog Talk (And Kitties Too!) (10-01-2016) #492: Director Gabriella Russell’s film “Dogs: Guilty of Jealousy” was a student film that explores reactions and emotions that dogs were not believed to have; Susan Weidel is the lady who adopted Little Red, one of the Michael Vick fighting dogs seen in the movie “The Champions,” and she talks about the three years she went to Best Friends in Utah to volunteer before her adoption application could be considered — and she had to bring all five of her dogs from Wyoming to meet Little Red before she became part of their family; Stephanie Mattera talks about the Alliance for NYC’s Animals (the beneficiary of the New York Dog Film Festival, the Petco Foundation-funded mobile adoption van that will be at the theater, and the Wheels of Hope, helping 150 NYC rescue groups.
