New Law To Rescue Dogs From Heat?

Dog Talk (06-20-2015) #426: Soon it might be legal to break a car window to remove a dog in distress from the heat (or cold)! New York State Assemblyman John Cerreto from Niagara Falls has authored a bill that will be a “Good Samaritan Law”, absolving anyone of criminal or civil liabilities for breaking into a car to rescue a dog in extreme weather distress — which is now a felony; Paris from Dogtipper.com discusses their charitable project of using the profits from Pawzaar.com — their online store of handmade pet products — to fund a scholarship for a Guatemalan student; Genevieve Frederick created Pets of the Homeless in  Carson City Nevada as the only national organization meeting the needs of the pets of homeless people and sponsoring big gatherings with free medical care, spay/neuter, and vaccinations for homeless people whose pets may be their only companions.
