Pet and Women’s Safety (PAWS) Act

Dog Talk (And Kitties Too!) #507: Lauren Dorsch discusses the community support behind the grant from Bayer Animal Health to the Rose Brooks Center in the Kansas City area that welcomes pets into the shelter(and receive K9 Advantix II for their dogs), and explains the Pet and Women’s Safety (PAWS) Act; Zoe Agnew-Svoboda is the Pet Shelter Advocate at the Rose Brooks Center and runs the shelter and coordinates foster families to care for pets while the women are recovering; Patricia Denys’ book ANIMAL MAGNETISM: AT HOME WITH CELEBRITIES AND THEIR ANIMAL COMPANIONS came out in 1998 and is every bit as relevant and touching all these years later.
