On The Pet Cancer Vet Dr. Sue Ettinger takes per-arranged calls from pet owners with a dog or cat with cancer to give information, support and hope. Dr. Sue's philosophy is that cancer is a treatable disease and her motto is “Live longer, live well.” Sue supports an integrative approach to radiation, chemotherapy and surgery with the addition of supplements and nutritional support. Susan Ettinger, DVM, ACVIM (Oncology) Dr. Susan Ettinger is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), one of approximately 300 board-certified veterinary specialists in medical oncology in North America. She is the co- author of the book The Dog Cancer Survival Guide which Tracie believes is indispensable for anyone whose dog is diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Sue initiated the medical oncology service at the Animal Specialty Center (ASC), a private practice specialty hospital in Yonkers, just north of New York City.
