Hi Tracie: It’s Susan, adopted mother of Orange Kitty of Westport. He is in fine fettle and enjoying the spring weather. Thanks so much for all of your advice, we love your blog & show and have shared it with our pet loving friends & family, Now I have a question for you. To briefly refresh your memory, we adopted him 3 summers ago after our neighbor moved (she was caring for him when he was abandoned by his family, who moved overseas.) He’s 17-18 (you’d never know it — even the vets thought he was 12 or so) So, he spends a lot of time outside, comes in to sleep with us and eat, of course, and we handle all of his vet arrangements. He appears to know the ‘hood very well, and is quite the survivor, if you get my drift. There is a chance that we may be moving to another neighborhood, but in town, possibly by the beach area. Of course we want to take him with us. I am just not experienced with cats all all, and am worried he may run away or try to get back to the old neighborhood. Any advice on the hows and whys of doing this would be appreciated!

Best,
Susan
