Dog Talk #410 (02-28-2015): Underwater therapy; pet hospice; behavior evaluations

Dog Talk (02-28-2015) #410: Becky talks about her champion dock diving boxer-mix Mercedes, and how underwater therapy and a healing supplement like Activphy can get a performance dog back on track after an injury; Monica Turenne is specialized in pet hospice, certified in thanatology (the many aspects of dying and death for people as well as pets) and explains why when you put a pet to sleep, your surviving pets need to witness the death of their housemate or at least visit the body; dog trainer and shelter dog advocate Aimee Sadler explains how behavior evaluations may help to reveal the “true dog” but are not scientifically reliable – and why is it no longer P.C. to call it “temperament testing.”
