Hospice & Sanctuary for Senior Dogs

Dog Talk (08-01-2015) #432: Michele Allen founded Monkeys House Hospice & Sanctuary for Senior Dogs when she realized how fast the clock was ticking for old dogs when they come into shelters; Dr Jessica Vogelsang’s funny book ALL DOGS GO TO KEVIN: Everything Three Dogs Taught Me (That I Didn’t Learn in Veterinary School) follows this doctor into the field of hospice care and recommends bringing kids in for a family dog’s euthanasia; James Giuliani life was straight out of The Sopranos as he tells it in DOGFELLA: How an Abandoned Dog Named Bruno Turned This Mobster’s Life Around, describing how he built a crew like when he was a gangster to create Keno’s Animal Rescue (“a permanent shelter for misfits”) and his shop in Brooklyn — The Diamond Collar — that his wife runs to partially support their rescue work.
