People and Their Pets Surviving Without Housing

Dog Talk (And Kitties Too!) (01-05-2019) #604: Featuring Leslie Irvine, Sarah Cheeseman, and Roeann Fulkerson. Leslie Irvine discusses her book, MY DOG ALWAYS EATS FIRST: HOMELESS PEOPLE & THEIR ANIMALS, which considers the challenges of people and their animals surviving without housing; Sarah Cheeseman is the director of Pet Haven in Minneapolis, which is not a brick & mortar shelter but a unique program of foster homes for dogs and cats awaiting adoption; Roeann Fulkerson discusses The International Cat Association TICA, which is not only for purebred cats and shows, but encourages shelter cats to come to shows and compete in agility competitions. TICA also sponsors the Community Cats Podcast online Cat Conference running from January 25-27 — which Tracie’s listeners can join with $25 off by using the coupon code RADIOPET.
