Pugs Win the Day Over German Shepherds

Dog Talk (And Kitties Too!) (04-13-2019) #618: Featuring Kim Dower, Nathan Hall, and Susan Ward. Kim Dower reads from her new collection of poems, SUNBATHING ON TYRONE POWERS’ GRAVE, describing how dogs see something in nothing and lick our faces as if they were made of sugar; Nathan Hall, assistant professor at Texas Tech University’s Canine Olfaction Lab, has been doing research using an “olfactometer” to determine which dogs have the best sense of smell and surprise, surprise: Pugs won out over German Shepherds for olfactory excellence!; Susan Ward from Purrfect Pals talks about the Kitten and Cat Connection Foster Program they have been running at the Monroe Correctional Complex Arlington, WA, with inmates socializing feral cats and kittens for future adoption.
