The shortage of Puppies & Dogs for People Who Want Them

Dog Talk (And Kitties Too!) (09-13-2020) #692: Featuring Mark Cushing, Julia London, and Chris Langelotti. Mark Cushing talks about his new book PET NATION: THE LOVE AFFAIR THAT CHANGED AMERICA, and a bird’s eye view of how pets are part of our lives, in particular, Cushing’s reckoning of the unacknowledged fact that there is actually a shortage of puppies and dogs for people who want them; Julia London reads from her delightful novel YOU LUCKY DOG, about the connection that happens between two people whose identical Bassett Hounds are switched by a dog walker, leading to a laugh-out-loud love story that Tracie says is the perfect antidote to the troubling times we’re living through; Chris Langellotti from Weruva pet foods talks about their Pumpkin Patch-Up products and the many health benefits of pumpkin for dogs and cats.
